
This decadent dessert combines the rich, creamy texture of ripe avocados with the bold flavors of dark chocolate and fresh orange zest. It is a guilt-free, dairy-free treat that comes together in minutes using just a blender, resulting in a texture indistinguishable from traditional dairy mousse.
Place the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely smooth and melted. Set aside to cool slightly.
Scoop the flesh of the ripe avocados into a food processor or high-speed blender.
Add the cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, orange juice, orange zest, coconut milk, and sea salt to the blender with the avocado.
Pulse the mixture a few times to combine, then blend on high speed until the avocado is completely smooth and no green chunks remain.
Pour the slightly cooled melted dark chocolate into the blender.
Blend again on high speed for about 30-60 seconds until the mixture is uniform, thick, and velvety.
